WHEN WILL CLASSES BE CANCELLED?
When Tahoma School District is closed due to snow, ice, or other hazardous weather conditions, all STEAMboat Studio classes with start times before 3PM will be cancelled. This includes:
Because weather can change throughout the day, classes starting after 3PM will be evaluated separately. These classes may run even when earlier classes are cancelled, and vice versa.
When Tahoma School District has a late start, or for classes on a non-school day, cancellations will be decided on a case-by-case basis. In all cases, we will evaluate weather conditions and the ability of instructors and families to travel safely to our location in order to make an appropriate determination.
WHAT IF ROADS ARE BAD NEAR ME?
We value your safety, and we understand that weather and road conditions may be different in nearby cities and neighborhoods. If we choose to hold classes but you are not able to travel safely to class, please let us know before your scheduled class time and you will be allowed to make up the missed class. WHEN WILL CANCELLATION DECISIONS BE MADE?
For classes before 3PM, cancellation decisions will be made by 8AM. For afternoon/evening classes, decisions will be made at least 2 hours prior to class start time.
HOW WILL I BE NOTIFIED?
All class cancellations will be posted to our Facebook page.
For enrolled students, emails will be sent to the email address associated with the student's registration. We will also send text notifications to those who opted in to receive sms messages.

WILL CLASSES BE MADE UP?
If space is available, students may choose to attend another age-appropriate class as a make-up for the cancelled class. Make-ups must be approved in advance, and must occur within 30 days of the cancelled class. In some instances, we may schedule an additional class time to allow a specific class to be made up. In the event of a cancellation, available make-up options and additional instructions for scheduling make-up classes will be provided to via email.
CAN I GET A REFUND?
We are unable to issue refunds for weather-related cancellations.
