Position Description:
STEAMboat Studio is seeking a versatile, energetic, and creative individual to lead weekend
science, art, and engineering-themed birthday parties. The STEAM Party Facilitator is
responsible for all aspects of party preparation, planning, and implementation for parties
booked at our Maple Valley studio.
Responsibilities:
● Prepare for and lead weekend birthday parties for 8-12 children
● Assist and direct support staff in completing party preparation, including set-up and
clean-up of studio space
● Verify supply availability based upon upcoming party schedule
● Greet parents and party guests, and collect liability release forms
● Lead a series of hands-on STEAM projects and/or demonstrations
● Provide age-appropriate instruction and support for participants to complete activities
● Provide direction for support staff during party
● Supervise party participants
● Communicate with party host prior to party as needed
Qualifications:
● Passion for STEAM and knowledge in party subject areas of art, science, or engineering
● Positive and friendly attitude
● Experience leading activities for children in a group setting
● Ability to present with confidence enthusiasm
Additional requirements:
● Must be punctual and have reliable transportation
● Must pass WSP background check and/or drug screening
● Must be 16+
Hours:
Weekend hours only. Parties are scheduled Saturdays/Sundays 9am– 8pm.
Salary:
$16 per hour
